The people we work for – those who use our services – can only lead lives which are truly their own if the people we employ – our staff – support service users’ independence, wellbeing and choice. That goes for everyone in the organisation, not just the Support Workers who work with service users on a day-to-day basis.
For Support Workers and increasingly for other jobs, the key result areas for existing staff, and the person specification for job applicants, are based on what service users have told us is important to them – what they are looking for in the people supporting them.
