Support Us
We are running and planning several projects which support people with learning disabilities and mental health needs to live as full citizens of their communities. People may need support to enjoy their full rights as citizens - and we are here to offer that support!
Whether it is using the local leisure centre, finding supported paid employment, getting proper treatment in hospital, having days filled with stimulating things to do, or doing voluntary work for others, Support for Living is there alongside the people who might otherwise miss out on the opportunities every member of the community should enjoy. We also play an important role in providing a break from caring for family members.
Our core services to meet formally assessed care and support needs are funded by the local councils and sometimes the NHS. But we rely on the support of trusts, companies and individuals for some of what we see as our most important initiatives, at the forefront of community involvement.
