Getting to know us week
Certitude hosted its "getting to know us" week - the star attraction being the football fun day held at Ravenscourt Park on 8 September. The weather was kind - at least for the first couple of hours - and then the heavens opened! Our spirits weren't dampened however, and after sheltering under the trees, we made a quick dash to the pub to dry out and enjoy refreshments! Our new parent company Certitude Support produced its first newsletter and an easy read version. The Certitude website is now being developed too and we hope to launch this around October time.

Think Healthy! event held - a resounding success
On June 22nd 2010, the Think Healthy! event was held. This was run as a joint effort by Ealing PCT, Ealing Hospital, Ealing Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities, Treat Me Right! - Support for Living, Mencap, Ealing Day Services and other community groups with the aim of improving health and well being for people with learning disabilities and their carers. The event was extremely well attended and a great success.

It's official! Support for Living and Southside Partnership have merged.
Support for Living and Southside Partnership have merged to form a new group, Certitude Support, as from 1 April 2010. The people who use our services may not notice big changes - but over time we believe we can make sure our services continue to improve and are increasingly flexible to meet people's individual wishes.
The role of our new parent company, Certitude Support, will be to provide leadership, support and direction to Support for Living and Southside Partnership.

Party held to celebrate 20 years of Support for Living and say a fond farewell to Nigel Turner
There was a great turnout for the Support for Living 20 year party held on 24 March 2010 at the Holiday Inn, Brentford Lock. It was a wonderful evening but sad too, as we wished Nigel Turner, Chief Executive of Support for Living for 18 years, a fond farewell as he leaves to climb mountains and do lots of other exciting things! Nigel raises money for the Teenage Cancer Trust - you can visit his website if you want to see what he is up to www.k2010.org.
A special thanks to all the organisers and the staff at the Holiday Inn. The food was great, the band were great, the venue was great. All in all, it was great!

Southside Partnership and Support for Living decide to go ahead with merger
Southside Partnership and Support for Living have just confirmed that the two organisations will merge this year. We announced we were in merger talks back in September, and since that time have been working to get to know each other better and to be sure that the merger is in everyone’s interests. The merger will take place on 1 April 2010.
